What should I expect on my first visit?
Your first appointment with us will include insurance paper work, an initial evaluation with the therapist, and treatment. Because treatment is included with your first visit, plan for about an hour and forty five minutes. Please bring your photo ID and insurance card with you to make the process as smooth as possible. As a courtesy, we will verify your insurance benefits on your first visit. If you would like to know what your physical therapy benefits are prior to your appointment, we encourage you to call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card. We recommend that you wear loose-fitting clothing for your visits to Farnsworth Physical Therapy. During your first visit we will begin by performing an initial evaluation to help us diagnose your specific problems and needs. We can then focus on immediate and long-term care, developing a treatment plan for ongoing sessions. Time lines for recovery are developed completely on a patient-to-patient basis, since every injury is unique. Our ultimate goal is to improve your quality of life by achieving long-term results, not just temporary relief.
